A few techniques to help soothe anxiety:
Heart hug: Soothe Anxiety with body self-touch. Put your hand over your heart and feel your hand touching your chest.
Butterfly tap: Cross your arms over your chest. Alternately tap each arm in a steady rhythm.Watch your worries float by like clouds.
Box Breathing: Breathe in for 4 seconds. Hold for 4 seconds. Breathe out for 4 seconds. Hold for 4 seconds. Feel the worries fade.
Invite your child to visualize a place in their mind where they feel safe when worries feel overwhelming.
